Warranty on parts
Chimera BMX warrants to the original retail purchaser that frames, forks, handlebars, hubs, motors, controllers, transmissions, cogs, pulleys, clutches, and other such components will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for one (1) year from the date of delivery. This warranty does not apply to wear-and-tear items such as belts, tires, tubes, grips, seats, and relevantly similar items.
Warranty on the First Gen Electric BMX
Chimera BMX warrants to the original retail purchaser of the first generation Electric BMX that (i) the frameset, bicycle components, motorization system, and associated electronics of the bike will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for one (1) year from the date of delivery, and (ii) the battery will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for two (2) years from the date of delivery or 500 life cycles, whichever comes first.
1. Requirements for this Warranty to apply.
a. The product must have been properly assembled/installed.
b. The individual seeking warranty coverage is the original and first owner of the product, and provides proof that the product was purchased from Chimera or one of its authorized dealers or distributors.
c. The product was used in accordance with its intended purpose on smooth paved surfaces and well-packed dirt surfaces for commuting and light bmx riding.
2. Exclusions. This Limited Warranty does not cover:
a. Normal wear and tear of the product.
b. Damages from improper assembly (e.g. stripped out threads, headset bearing failure due to over-tightening, etc).
c. Damage or failure from abuse, neglect, misuse, or accident.
d. Damage from stunt-related crashes, grinds, or other impacts that any reasonable person would expect to run a substantial risk of damage.
e. Damages resulting from improper charging of the battery pack or use of any charger not supplied by Chimera or its dealers.
f. Any components that have been modified in a way not sanctioned by Chimera, or any issues caused by such modifications.
g. Damage associated with commercial use or rental operations.
Remedies. Notify us of any warranty issue as soon as possible. If we determine that the issue is covered by our warranty, we’ll replace or repair without charge to you and also reimburse any shipping costs you incurred. If the issue is not covered by our warranty, we’ll do our best to offer our customers a competitive price for repairs/replacements.
